Default Metasequoia (.mqo) export?

Anyone have any idea if this type of plugin is available, or could be created?

Most 3D modelers support (Wavefront) obj files so you should be able to use this to import models into AC3D.

Thanks.

The structure of the .mqo file is very simple, orderly and clean, it's really what I'm looking for as an EXPORT from AC3d. I may attempt writing the plugin myself, but was hoping someone with some expertise might be able to do it more quickly. It would probably take me weeks just to learn the basics.

Have you got the AC3D SDK? If so, I can let you have some sample exporter code that you can use. That would make the job a lot easier.

You could also look on supercoldmilk.com for some example plugin code.

12 years later, and I am no closer than I was on day 1... oh well.

That's an impressive time to revisit a thread

What's wrong with exporting obj, stl or some of the other formats that Metasequoia support? Is there some particular property you want to preserve?

Because I'm not actually opening the files in metasequoia. Instead I'm reading the .mqo file with Excel and importing values. Right now process is...
AC3d export as .obj-> UU3d (ultimate unwrap 3d) -> save as .mqo
I'd like to be able to skip the middle step

I'm interested to know what are you doing with the data in the spreadsheet?

Have you seen how simple the .ac file format is?

I have, but it lacks critical information I need, in the format I need it.
It's difficult for me to adequately explain without illustrations.

When I get home, I'll try to post some screenshots of what I'm doing with the data.
(Long story short, I'm converting it to a .3di game file, which is proprietary to the "Delta Force" series, and there are no known perfectly functioning importers/exporters for it.
