A chamfer/fillet tool would be most useful, I think.

Hi all a nice inclusion to Plugin / Tools, would be an extrude ie from round to square or from one shape to another. I have seen one in a program, although it was not a 3d object program, it was a program called Corel Draw, it did produce it in a 3D like sharp but fixed in the viewing angle.

I have tried beveling, but there is a problem which is very easily visible with an example:
1) create a simple cube; 2) with the 3D view zoom on one vertex; 3) perform beveling (the result is acceptable); 4) perform again beveling... and the resulting surface is a real mess. As contrast, you can have a look at how Silo or Wings3D handle beveling: you can go on applying this operation, creating more and more smooth edges. Is there a way to do something similar in AC3D (without using the tecnique described in http://www.inivis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4101) which is not the fastest method ![]() Thanks a lot in advance. |
