Changing object centers
Is there a way to take an object that has been through lots of transformations and set the origin of its vertices to the world origin? I can find options to set the center to about everything except the world origin.
I'm trying to get the model positioned where I need it and exported to .X with a frame tranform equal to an identity matrix. Basically when I read the model into another app I want the model to display, positioned in the world correctly based soley on its vertices without first applying the transform. Best, Byron |

Re: Changing object centers
I've downloaded the pivot plugin which makes it pretty easy to set the object center to the world origin. But, on export to .X I'm still getting the non-identity transform matrix as if the pivot point manipulator is still operating on a transform matrix rather than the vertices themselves.
So far the only way I can seem to get the origin of the vertices themselves to be the world origin is to move the pivot point, save the file, export to .obj, then import it back, then export to X. Surely there must be a simpler way? Best, Byron |
