Prospective buyer
Hey all,
So, I used the trial until it expired 14 days early on me. So now im getting ready to buy the program. But I want to know just one more thing before I buy it. Are the updates free? And/or upgrades free/half price/or full price? |

Re: Prospective buyer
Most minor upgrades are free (e.g., 6.4, 6.5; upgrades "to the right of the version decimal"). But, *some* major upgrades are charged for (ex., 6.0, 5.0). Major upgrades usually accompany big, important additions to the feature set.
Still, all things considered, AC3D offers a LOT of "bang for the buck".

Re: Prospective buyer
AC3D licenses include free updates and new versions for a minimum of one year. After that an upgrade costs less than half the price of a full license.
e.g. if you were to buy version 5.9 (fictional version number) and 6.0 was released a week later, then you do not need to pay anything. We feel this is more fair than other companies who only charge for major version number releases (which is why they rarely release much more than .3 because releasing a .9 version would put people off buying) |
