AC3D cannot handle unicode character ½ in filename.
Just wondering why this is the case? I really need to name some folders with the ½ character, as they are architectural dimensions (for example, folder CB04x07½)
This worked on my work laptop, but doesn't seem to work on my PC (Windows 7 Home Edition.) Does anyone know exactly what the issue is, and how I might fix, work-around it? |

Re: AC3D cannot handle unicode character ½ in filename.
What OS are you running on your laptop?
I just tested this on Windows 10 and I was able to save and load AC3D files with ½ in the filename, and in folders too. perhaps you are using a particular plugin? |

Re: AC3D cannot handle unicode character ½ in filename.
I don't know exactly what OS was on the laptop (I no longer have it), but I know it was some version of Windows 7.
My version here at home is Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit.) I wasn't using any plugin, just the default "Load Texture" menu option. If I remove the ½ from the folder name... everything works perfectly. My version of AC3D is 6.7.15a - and I haven't used it for about 3 years, until now. Perhaps download the latest version of AC3D? You can upgrade your license here:

It's cheaper to just rename the folders. Just think it's odd that it worked on one system, but not another, very similar one. |

That's not to say I won't upgrade sometime in the future, it's just that I currently don't use AC3D enough to justify it.
