Default A few questions

Hi, I'm really a beginner in 3D stuff. I read the manual but I couldn't find any details regarding my question. What I mean is this:

Let's say I want to select the all the polygons in this circle (or circular slice ? - i don't know the exact term):

Is there any keyboard shortcut or easier way than holding Ctrl and dragging the mouse over each poly ?

Sorry, I'm really a beginner.

No reason to say your sorry to be a beginner. All here have some time been a beginner, and I know i'm not sorry for it You can use the select loop option maybe? Just select two surfaces in the direction you want the loop, and then hit the L key on your keyboard.

The shapes in the above diagrams look like racing slick tires.
They have camfered edges.
How were these shapes made?

Ok, one more dumb question.
How did you make the original disk, within a disk, within a disk shape? ............ before you extruded to a cylinder?

Just make a cylinder, no need to make a disk first.

I just created a basic cylinder and then selected the surfaces in both ends and used divide loop. It lays under tools.

Thanks tbd,
I didn't have the divide loop pluggin.
I had to download and install it.

http://supercoldmilk.com/ac3dplug/divloop.html

Why is there no complete pluggin pack that is a zip file with all the current working pluggins?

Thanks.

I believe it is because the authors, want to have control of the updates they make to their plugins.
