Question Well, another question...Deleting polylines

Hello,
Well, I've been pulling my hair out, trying to figure this one out..
I've searched the forums, and the help files, with no luck.

I am just trying to delete some polylines and vertices.
Everytime I delete a vertice, the polyline just goes to the next vertice.

How the heck do you delete the line, totally!
I know it has to be easy....

Also, when I try to extrude the object, it extrudes it, but some of the extruded surfaces are missing.

I don't know, I am at a stand still, and help?

Here is a link to the photos, I was having problems attaching my files...

Sorry, so many questions...
This forum is a BIG help...

thanks,
Grease

1. Select one vertice and go to object mode, then simply press "del"
2. select all surfaces and make them 2-sided

If I select one vertice and then proceed to go to object mode...
When I click on the object mode button, it hilites all of the vertices, so when I press delete, it just deletes the object, and not the line or vertice...

Thanks for the super fast response....

Extruded object works like a charm now....
Two-sided!

thanks

Then it is not a polyline, it is part of an object, which you can only remove step by step or boolean.

Yes, it is part of the object...
What exactly is step by step??

I understand boolean...

Actually, now that I have it two sided (the extruded object), the line(object) does'nt really matter.
It fit in good with the model, so far...

thanks,
Grease

About the two sided surfaces, I would strongly sugest that you instead of doing a two sided surfaces you just select the invisible surfaces and do a flip normals instead. That way all the surfaces faces the right way when you export it to another format (3ds obj lwo whatever) This is because you cant export two sided surfaces, so when imported into another 3d program for rendering or something, that surface will still be invisible. I know Poser acts in this way.

Wonder if the Knife plug-in would work?
Any ideas?

I think I may give it a try...
