Default Character Head Problems

I've been looking for a good modeling tool to make characters for my game, making a head is soo freaken hard and there no tutorial on here to help me out. Would any experienced user help me out? I've been trying to use this http://www.3drender.com/jbirn/ea/HeadModel.html as reference.

But I'm stuck at this part, and I;m not quite sure what to do afterward.

I would soo appreciate the help.

Hi there. I went to the link you posted and was reading about it, And looks to me that you need to do the rest of the head all the way to the back of it. now it says you can do the ears two ways make the ears by them selfs or with the head. i would try to make it with the head by doing just the lines and then go back and add more verts in to define the ears more after the head is done.

I don't think AC3D supports NURBS, which is how that head is made. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, you don't rotate the same thing all the way, you have to change the shape as you make the head.
