How would I apply textures to extruded surfaces?
Is there a way to apply more than one pixel of a texture to an extruded surface?

What you'd have to do is go into the texture coordinate editor and map out how you want the texture to appear on your object.

Re: How would I apply textures to extruded surfaces?
Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure how exacly to do that.
Here's my problem in more detail: I created a box, extruded the top of it and added a texture to the whole object - shown in part #1 of the image below. Then I selected one of the new surfaces created from the extrude and opened the texture coordinate editor but it only allows me to select one pixel of the image - shown in part #2 of the image below. Is there a way to display more than one pixel of the image onto the surface? Any help is much appreciated. |

Yeah, when all the points are condensed into one pixel, you just have to click one of the remap buttons. Just pick the direction you want it to be textured from.

One point worth mentioning
Hi Rikiu,
as far as I know in AC3D extruded surfaces are just normal surfaces in all respects. However please keep in mind that you may apply only one texture to an object, collectively, and that texture will affect all its surfaces. Thus if you want each face to look different you'll have to disassemble your object (menu 'surfaces', item 'cut away object') and then associate individual textures with each face-object. |
