Try increasing the crease angle, that should remove the creases.

File > Settings

Advanced Tab

Increase the default 45 degree crease angle to suit.

However, I believe this will affect *subsequent* objects created.

After objects have been created, you use Tools > Object Property Editor and manipulate the slider to change the crease angle. Then click Set to make the changes "in real time" and have the object update in the various viewports.

(I just learned this myself by opening the manual in the Help menu! The manual's a good thing to refer to when you need it)

I suppose it makes sense that it can be controlled by object and by material setting. It's just a matter of finding it in the proper context in the interface.

I would start such a project by getting Boeing's published 3-view drawings into AC3D.
This sometimes involves file format conversions since the original format won't import nicely.

In AC3D scale and position the 3-view appropriately. Getting the windows shaped properly becomes way less tedious then.

See below for a quick & dirty shot of a 777 3view in AC3D.
Let me know if you want me to upload the ac file.

cheers
Peter

See private message for the template.
I can't speak for XPJets. Their A320 looked quite complete (at least the exterior) last time I saw it - which was a long time ago.

As a matter of fact I focused on other plane models when I heard Alex is modelling it. I did continue working on an updated model nevertheless when time permitted but never got around to update the cockpit panel. There are other loose ends as well.

Here's how it looks as of one year ago.

cheers
Peter
