Thumbs up Re: Tank Model

Jagdpanther " Hunting Panther" was the dedicated anti tank/ assault version of the Panther late WWII German medium tank. All of them carried a Panzer designation but I can't recall from memory exactly what the Panthers was , Panzer V I think.

The term Panzer referred to a WWII German tank of any size or type.

Extremely nice model BTW!

No, no, no.

ALL German tanks are Panzers, it being the German word for "armor".

Panzer is german for tank. There were Panzer I, Panzer II, etc up to VI with various models of each such as Panzer IV Ausf. H or Panzer VI Ausf. E (tiger I) or Panzer V Ausf. G (Panther G). All tanks were Panzers. The term Panther and Tiger were given to some models. A Jadgpanther translates to "hunting panther" (jagd = hunting).

The names Panther and Tiger were akin to naming an M4A3 "Sherman".

Hey Stiglr, see if you can use your powers of persuasion to get AC3D6 compatible with Panther (lol) and not just Tiger (lol) so I can try it out.

How appropriate is this to this thread?

Jadgpanther was based on the Panzer V (panther) chassis. The Jagdpanzer was based on the Panzer IV chassis.

Heheh.... can't help you with Mac stuff.

I gave up banging my head against that wall years ago. Much as I appreciate Mac ease-of-use, I had it up to HERE with "suffering for my favorite platform" and doing without all kinds of useful, PC-only software.

Now I'm hearing rumblings that the new Intel-chipped Macs still are incompatible with other Intel and Linux apps. Same as it ever was...
