It's the prog :\

I'll get this fixed this evening (EDT) --- it requires another change to the .conf file, I just don't have a moment to do it right now.

Thanks for finding/reporting this.

I just noticed also that the "Look at selection" first string in the conf file says "Loot at". I don't know how critical this is.

Steve.

Exclamation Re: RESOURCE: AC3D custom toolbar editor

The .conf and setup files have been updated for the AC3D toolbar --- the latest file fixes the "Save As" function and the mis-spelling on the "Look at" button.

If you've already installed the toolbar, follow the steps in the "Notes on installing new .conf files" step near the top of the page.

Hi Dennis

Seems to be a nice tool, but it doesn't work for me.

After I created this toolbar , AC3D produces lots of load errors.

See this picture

The plugin menu is empty.
Main window

As soon as I press one of the buttons to the left (move, rotate, etc) I get this error message: picture

If you need any more info, tell me...

it seems like the problems originate from when you installed the toolbar for ac3d.

Hi Dughor,

I downloaded your toolbar.tcl file, and it works great for me.

What version of AC3D are you using? (check under Help -> About AC3D...) I've only seen toolbars created with this program work under version 6, so that may be a factor.

If you're on version 6.x, send me a Private Message with the full text of the AC3D console (hopefully that will help). You can get the full text in Windows by right-clicking the title bar of the console window and selecting Edit -> Select All. Then, with everything selected, right click anywhere in the main window and the text will be copied to the clipboard, which you can paste into a PM to me.

Also, I'm assuming that when the toolbar.tcl is moved out of the scripts folder, everything is fine?

Thanks,
Dennis

Unhappy Re: RESOURCE: AC3D custom toolbar editor

Hey Dennis, can you see if you can figure something out, that will let us, either enable or disable the Bounding box, while in vertex select mode please.. That is the only time, it gets on my nerves, when I am trying to select those hard to reach vertexes, and the big green lines / squares get in my way, I tried setting its thickness to 0 to turn it off, and it doesn't work...

Please help..

I just discovered this great tool will work on MacOS X when using 'CrossOver' (a wine based solution to run non-native apps without a full blown Windows installation).

I tried using CrossOver v9, installed .NET 1.1 first and then the toolbar editor into the same bottle.

That beats firing up VMware or Parallels any day, especially since it doesn't require a Windows license at all. The resulting .tcl files worked nicely when put into ac3d's script folder, only toolbar images needed their path added manually with a text editor after export. Apparently the Toolbar Editor simply skips writing the path into the tcl file. It does add it to the commented line preceding each button though. Not sure if thats an issue due to running in CrossOver.

Anyway, if you use Mac you can give it a try. There apparently is a time limited demo of crossover available online on the codeweavers.com site.

cheers
