some Problems with boolean...
Hi Folks.
I do PovRay a while now... not very hard things, but I know about the primitives and how to add or substract primitives to get the form I need. AC3D looks good and helps modelling... fine thing! But If I do some simple things it doesn't work the usual way... f.e.: first I make a cylinder (x,y,z) = 2,2,2 at the center of the workspace (0,0,0) where the ends of the cylinder are at "y" Then I make a second one, the same drection but 1,3,1 ... so it is longer than the first one but smaller. Then I substract the secon one from the first one... I expect to see a hole in the middle of the bigger cylinder -> a pipe. What I get is "almost" a pipe, but the edges somtimes are looking bad. some of the vertexes are not where they should be.. This is not nice! What is wrong there? (see Picture) regards |
