Hi!
When I'm using the boolean subtract function, I find that I often will lose polygons that shouldn't be removed. And I would get open holes in my object ![]() This behaviour I first noticed when I subtracted many times on the same object. And particular when I subtract cylinders from my object as I becomes more comeplex. I'm I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug in AC3D :-( ? Thanks for your help :-) |

Hi - Using the boolean functions repeatedly on the same object can cause problems but you should check that all objects used are fully closed and all normals are outward-facing before using the booleans. There are other caveats with booleans - see the manual.
If you want to e.g. cut two cylinders from a sphere, it may be best to merge two cylinders and use that single object for the boolean, rather than performing two subtracts with one cylinder. |

What I have found is that the boolean->subtract function creates holes in my closed objects
![]() It isn't any rocket sciense... it happens even with fairly simple objects |
