Here is my rendering of the French submarine "Gustave Zede", such as she was at the beginning of 1915. She was driven by steam turbines for high speed on the surface, just as the English K-class boats would be in 1916, and at the time was the largest submarine in the world.
At first she was a complete failure, though, being much too unwieldy. But! After a refit at Brest in 1917 where her design was "simplified" according to war experience, she became a successful ocean-going submarine, a much-appreciated escort for US troop-carrying convoys (one of the first attempts at hunter-killer operations). She soldiered on until 1932. The "box" in front of the periscopes is a collapsible charthouse. Thierry |

Nice work Thiery! She looks great...
Can anyone tell me where to find actual Tutorials here for a brand new beginner to AC3D? I seem unable to track down a source - and I would rather like it to be aircraft oriented modelling as I am hoping to develop in x-plane. Many thanks! |

This is a new rendering. If you are interested, there is a Picasa album at http://picasaweb.google.com/tvisarl/GZ
Enjoy! Thierry |
