one more idea.
if you had a
Surface Division Tool similer to a cutting tool(exept it doesnt
split the surface), you could divide a surface from one edge to any other edge on the surface. this would be very helpful for adding additional surfaces to areas of a model, without having the having the problem of createing uneaded surfaces and points.
The way ac3d does it now - a single rect becomes four conected rects :?
The way I wish it where - you would use a division tool(up with the extrud, rotate, and moce tools) and then select and
divide the surface to the next edge, creating two conected rects(
without excess points!)
would help me a lot, and would make modelling faster, and easyer.
