Great work!

I've just tested the texture updating by texturing with a png and then editing+saving the png. The texture was automatically reloaded into AC3D fine. That was on Windows - are you using the Mac version?

It sounds like you may have a problem with the texture paths/locations. As far as I can remember, nothing with the texture paths changed in the AC3D plugin but X-Plane may have changed.
