Re: How to make rounded aircraft fuselage?
I fly RC planes and like designing new models with AC3D.
To make a curved fuselage is quite simple with AC3D. Look in the AC3D manual at page 36. This gives an example of using the Vertex->Create-surface-object function to make a fuselage.
For your plane, you would use a sphere at the nose and a few ellipses down the length of the body. Then in vertex mode, select everything and then Vertex->create-surface-object.
Using this function is also good for making the wings from a few simple objects.
