When loading an .ac file that has textures stored in AC3D\Textures\, you get this error message. Loading them into AC3D itself from this very specific subfolder of the main root AC3D folder is fine though, it's just reloading the actual model file that seems to be bugging out.

Can you look at the file with a text editor (e.g.notepad) and check for the lines that begin with "texture". I wonder if the filename got lost somewhere or has a special charcter in it?

I've checked the file and the only thing off is that there's no full path to the texture, just the texture file name+extension itself. This doesn't repeat if the texture is anywhere else besides AC3D\textures.
Steps to reproduce: 1: Create subfolder named "textures" in the main AC3D installation folder 2: Put texture in that subfolder 3: Load and apply the texture to model in AC3D 4: Save model and exit AC3D 5: Reload the previously saved model and the error message should appear |

I was able to duplicate it and can confirm that it is a bug when loading textures from $AC3D_HOME/textures - many thanks.
This will be fixed for the next release. Until then, you may want to put a "textures" folder in the same place as your geometry since this will be searched before $AC3D_HOME/textures (and is probably more useful if you zip up geometry files with their associated textures) |
