3DConnexion's Space Navigator
I would be wonderful to have Ac3d interfacing for 3DConnexion's Space Navigator (6 deg of freedom hand controller). It's cheap at $59.95 and is an excellent CAD interface. Using it and a mouse at the same time is GREAT. I use with Rhino and Pro-E. I hope some of the Ac3D developers get to read this suggestion.

This has been done and will be included in the next release. If you have a Space Navigator, let me know.

Will this Space Navigator control the Walk mode in the 3d window? On a similar note, is there any way to bind the controls of the Walk mode from just clicking buttons on the mouse and dragging to something more like "W, A, S, and D", so you could "Walk" (Or rather, Fly) through the walls and constructs of your model using the aforementioned alternate keys? Like "Noclipping" through your model (If you know what that is....). |

Re: 3DConnexion's Space Navigator
We use a number of 3dconnexion devices at work. They all work the same except they cost a little more. I just recently acquired the Space Navigator for myself. Works great with Google Earth, too.

Re: 3DConnexion's Space Navigator
Hi Andy,
If this thread is not dead after a year and a half, could you please point me in the right direction to find how to use my SpaceNavigator with AC3D? thanks chuck

Re: 3DConnexion's Space Navigator
I will be looking to get a space explorer sometime this year, as long as ac3d and gmax/3ds can use it.
