Sculptie Extrusion messing up UV Map
I really need some help on this one. I am trying to creat a pipe, will actully be handlebars in the end for an SL project.
I start with Sculptie cylinder and it all looks great. After applying Scultpie Extrusion 5 times and adding some rotaion the UV map is a mess. Extrusion seems like the way to do bends in a pipe to me. Attached are the images of what is happening. |

don't know much about sl, but to do bends in a pipe, use the -extrude along path.

Maybe I am missing something. You said extrude along path?
Currently I select the surfaces and use the Extrude Sculpty under the Suface menu. I have also tried using the Extrude button on the left tool bar. Is there another i am not see? |

Make an elipse, then make a polyline in the shape you want. selct the ellipse first then the line, in the object menu very last menu entry -extrude along path.

shurley someone here knows how to take a cylinder and bend it into a pipe for export to SL?
I am just having a ton of issues with the extrude function. I works but with quirks. the very center vertex always stays locked and creates a rounded end. I have learned a lot in the last few days but just can't seem to get a grip on designing a nice bended pipe for SL. |

I am trying to understand this sculpty stuff. I dl'ed the sl export plug-ins. Made an object and then exoprted it to a sl sculpty prim. Is this a valid sl file then?
