Re: AC3d and OSX Catalina
It appears that AC3D works fine in the 64bit version, but not X-Plane add in!

OK - I think you will need the updated version of the plugin - did you install that?

Re: AC3d and OSX Catalina
OK - I run Ac3d under Mojave with the patched beta - still wondering about the Catalina upgrade. So - I loaded up a copy Parallels VM for Mohave and tried to run exactly the same AC3d. Under Parallels it doesn't seem to like the graphics setup - so this isn't going to be conclusive. As expected AC3d loaded and the XPlane plugin was OK (just as I said it doesn't like the Parallels graphics setup). I then upgraded the VM to Catalina - and ran AC3d again - it loaded fine and the Plane plugin was still operational... (still did nt like the graphics tho).
So that seems to indicate that the upgrade is fine.... but not conclusively.... |

Re: AC3d and OSX Catalina
I ran up a Catalina dual boot - and tested AC3d / Plugin and were fine. Updated main system to Catalina and all is fine.
(Just make sure you have the Mac beta and that you are running the version of AC3d with the Mac beta - OSX default may not be running the copy you think it is - ie for me it was running the copy in downloads rather than the copy in my production folder...) |

Catalina is installed and works fine. 64 bit AC3D 8330 and 34b3 plane add in works, but...... The textures I use for my parts work great and look good in AC3D. But when I add them to X-PLANE they are just gray objects. Prior to Catalina I have make a 100+ aircraft with AC3D. Has the naming of the files changed or their locations.? |
