Human head
This is my very first try at modeling a human head ...
It will stay low poly as it is intended to be part of a 3D "world/map" (when its body will be finished ) One of the worst part for me was to attach the ear with the face :? So this model has still surely a lot of bugs ... but here it is anyway 8) Cheers ! |

Great low-poly head!
I'm interested, though: Did you go with the "build a box/subdivide/extrude" method, the edge extrusion method, or another method? |

Hi Dennis,
for the ear I've gone the same way as it is shown in the Joan of Arc tutorial. For the head, I've gone my "own" way (because I'm not really at ease with what is described in the JOA tuto. for the head part) : A 12 segments sphere, adjusted to the background image model, then half cutted. And then of course a lot of insert vertex/slice surface/vertices adujstements For the hairs, I've just cutted the (half) sphere top, and then tried to built some hairs  Also, I realized at the end that there were a lot of normals flips to do (not always an easy job). OL. |
