Let's create a simple fuselage shape by adding a line, making sure the beginning and ending vertexes are at X=0.

Then we'll switch to vertex mode, select all the vertexes and extrude them (ctrl+e)

The line surface we started with is still there, so switch to surface mode, select the line, and delete it.

Then, in object mode, mirror +X, subdivide twice, and commit the subdivisions. I also scaled and re-centered the object.

Now I locked the fuselage object so I can still see it, but don't have to worry about selecting it, and drew the basic door outline. You can see it draws in the center of the object. That's o.k. for now.

Like I did for the body itself, I extruded the edges in vertex mode. Pull them well past the skin of the body. Then I went back and deleted the original polyline face.

Then I added and committed a couple of subdivisions to get a nice organic shape.
