Import crash on Panel
I'm using latest plugin and AC3D 8.3.30 Windows.
When importing the EMB110 painel.obj the app crashes with no error. Subdivision is turned off and OBJ importers removed. Here is zip of OBJ and texture; just trying to start my GTN integration in it. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Pl...C8zRE32MTTS0WT |

Re: Import crash on Panel
The crash was caused by the XPlane plugin trying to add a child object to a non-existent (NULL) parent. I'm not sure how this could happen but perhaps it was an empty entry in the hierarchy?
Anyway, I've added a fix which (will stop the crash) into AC3D, which will be in the next AC3D release. Here's your obj file fixed, which now imports and exports OK. If you find out the error in the original, please let me know. www.inivis.com/external/painelAC.zip |

Re: Import crash on Panel
I appreciate it -- appears we have issue now.
There are a number of caution lights that no longer light up when I turn the batts on -- I tried it with default paniel and it's fine. Switch to this fixed one and it's broken. I can't compare surfaces since I can't get old one to load up (wondering if some ref's got stripped on export.) |

Re: Import crash on Panel
It's best to only use obj as an purely export format and do all the editing and saves in .ac files, only exporting obj when you want to test in X-Plane. Have you got a .ac file of the model?

Re: Import crash on Panel
Oh I do.
It’s Dreamfoil EMB 110. I’m modifying cockpit to add a GTN 750 object. Usually I load up the OBJ and modify them. I load it up in XP and verify everything works. This is where my troubles lie. It might just be one of those planes that breaks when exporting OBJe. I’ve had that before with others. What I did was copy your file and load plane in XP. That’s when I saw lights no longer working. |

Re: Import crash on Panel
Never mind; I fixed it.
OBJ was missing mapping to LIT textures. |
