Fokker E.III
Here are some in tool renders of the Fokker E.III, work in progress.
This will be used for a virtual museum and potentially a film next year. . . . . . A lot of work to do, but coming along nicely. I spend three months in Germany building the real thing, so have some real hands on understanding.

That's some outstanding work there, great detail and accuracy. Can't wait to see more.

Re: Fokker E.III
Now we have a seat and even a pilot to see how it fits.

Re: Fokker E.III
Just to keep the interest, I've done the firewall and lower cowl sections, need to add the heel rests, and started on the empty belt box. Also addded to lower yoke.
. . . . Hey this is fun....however I need to get the rivet gun out....

Re: Fokker E.III
The next part of the gun mechanism, the internal part of the gun to operate the trigger.
. . . Now just get the gun diamensions and build the gun around it.

Re: Fokker E.III
Next update: Gun safety wire, turnbuckle and trigger and yoke.
. . . Also built a whole series of bolts, screws and split pins, needed but dull. At some point I'll have to do the bracing wires, and yes they will not be fun, just like the real thing. At least these I can bend.
