Default Create Convex Hull WITHOUT triangulating?

I there a toggle setting (on/off) or something that I can specify that when I choose "create convex hull" from vertices.... that I do not want it to automatically triangulate the surfaces? I need non-triangulated surfaces, and it is very tedious and time-consuming to go through and re-combine each surface.

A convex hull must be made from triangles but there is a "quadrangulate" coming in the next version which would probably help.

Sounds great.... I am certainly going to need to upgrade, at some point.

I hate to resurrect a dead thread but...
Has this been implemented?

I'm still using 6.7.15a and am seriously considering upgrading, but I need to know if there's any improved functionality that would make it worth it.

Yep, Quadrangulate has been added, and lots more since 6.7.
