Default A specific Bas relief from texture is crashing AC3D 8.6.11

This is a weird one. One particular texture file is crashing AC3D. I've tried different versions of the file (resized, different file format .png and .jpg) and all crash AC3D.

What is seriously weird is the texture is a portion of a larger texture which successfully builds a bas relief mesh and other portions of which successfully build a mesh.

I tried to find a log file or similar of the crash but could not find the location. Is there a log file?

The smallest of the offending files and its progenitor attached.

Default Re: A specific Bas relief from texture is crashing AC3D 8.6.11

Trying to find a workaround, I cut different versions of the same portion 70x40 and 100x50. Both crashed AC3D. But an earlier cut of 100x100 on the same location worked (resized to 200x200), so I've resized that to 400x400 and that works. [resized 600x600 also worked but was averaged down to 511x511 based on my preference limit). I'll cut the mesh down to the dimension I needed in greater detail.

Okay, so I've found another texture, in another portion I needed to create more detail. The shape that crashed AC3D was 135x120 pixels (resized 2x). I cut another texture, this one square 140x140 pixels (then resized 2x) and it worked. So maybe the issue is non-square texture images of a certain size, or maybe certain "aspect" ratios.
