Thanks, I don't know for now ... but if I decide to make an interior I suppose it will be a very basic one.

You mean things like that ?
http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw/hubcaps.html

The wheels on my model are very basic I know, but they will stay like that until I decide to put some more effort in them.
I should have done round holes all around the exterior of the hubcaps ... but been too lazy for that for now

Thanks Dennis !

I must say that the wheels have been done really quickly (except for the round holes) with the help
of the Divide Loop plugin - It's been a real pleasure

What procedure did you use to make the holes? Was it simpler than the tutorial I put up a while back?

I've deleted the surfaces where I wanted to put a round hole, then replaced these surfaces by new ones using the principle described here :

you dont normally have to do that method. there are other ways of making holes in rectangular surfaces

Well, for making a round hole into a surface I only know 3 methods :
1- Boolean operation
2- Creating a convex surface object between the surface and an ellipse ...
3- The one I used

I won't use the first one, and between the 2nd and the 3rd choice, my heart has gone for the 3rd

Which ones were you thinking of ?

well basically from what I have learned on ac3d. there are other ways of getting the same result. one way you could have gone is to use the hole tool in ac3d. but I think I would have used somthing that I have developed over the past few months with help of others. I call this the panel method. through complex manipulation of vertices an lines. you can manipulate a surface property to get what ever geometric shape you desire. if you want I can post an example of my findings. this panel method of mine has helped me out greatly. without it I dont think I would have gotten very far.
