I agree. And Moose, if you're still up for ideas, how are you going to be painting the roads? Are they a plane with a texture? If so, you could probably fuzz the edges a bit with an alpha mask and make the road blend into the surrounding texture a bit. This would make the road a bit more irregular and believable.

Thanks for the graveyard idea, I hadn't thought of that.

As for the road: well this is all a temporary setup, that road looks pretty crappy now, and I know it, but I'm just setting it up so I can have an idea how it will look put together, when I put all together for the game, everything will be much nicer. (road included.) But thank you for the advice and feedback. It is very nice to see comments of any kind in my thread.

Well it's a cool concept. Got us all thinking about tumble weed, scraggly trees and train robbers on horseback! Yeehaw! Speaking of that, is there going to be a train station?

Yes, there is going to be a train station, I just haven't gotten there yet.

Nice! New layout definitely starting to shape into a town.

My old house used to have cactus in the yard. The place I live now doesn't... cactus can be a pain, literally. The prickly pear grow really fast, but all the spines make them hard to trim back. This picture is horrible, but you're welcome to use it.
