Ever since I updated to AC3D v9.0.22 I have experienced strange crashes of the application when doing normal work like extruding polylines, moving objects, rotating objects etc. There doesn't seem to be anything common linking these crashes. They're silent and appear to happen randomly.
I have been using AC3D since early 2008 and have never had anything like this happen, until now, with v9.0.22. All the previous version were perfectly stable. |

Are you using Windows or Mac, or Linux?
Please could you try resetting the settings to defaults and if it crashes, let me know the operations you did before. If it's crashing on a particular file, please let me know. There are some debugging methods we can use to track stuff down so we can fix this problem. |

Windows 10 21H2 is the operating system. Just had a crash when doing an incremental move operation (IE using the Move field to left). I have attached the file of the model I'm currently experiencing these crashes most often with.

After resetting the settings to default per your suggestion, the crashes seems to have gone away. Haven't had any since I reset the settings. I'll let you know if they return though.

Well, they haven't gone away as hoped. I have experienced several crashes recently just like I previously reported. Not sure what is going on here. So it looks like the the debugging methods will be needed after all.

Sorry to hear that.
In a cmd window, start AC3D from the program folder like this: ac3d -debug > c:\(your desktop)\out.txt Please debug and email me the out.txt files and I'll investigate. |
