Right click on the colored number in the bottom left of the screen. You can edit the material property. Or Append a new material with the properties you want and then apply that material to your mesh. |

Every surface must have a material. A texture is per object and is optional.
To find out what material a surface has, click it in surface mode. It will show in the status bar at the bottom. |
