moving texture
i'm working on a pair of engine nacelles for a bombardier crj 700. i have them modeled in ac3d and they look nice, i think. when i import them into plane maker, it's not textured the way it was. i still have the selected picture but it seeming takes the texture for everything from a different part of the picture, the top left or right corner i think. i don't know how to fix this.

Re: moving texture
check which image is used in AC3D (exact path to the image file)
then open the generated x-plane object file in a text editor and compare the file path to the texture file if it is really the same image file - hmmm - open it in Photoshop and re-save it as PNG24. I've never seen anything like that unless ac3d & xplane use different texture files. |

Re: moving texture
I got it working now. I had made the nacelle in planemaker (not very well) and exported it to an object and opened it up in ac3d where I gave it some severe modifications. Due to the fact that the thing was taken directly from planemaker the texture for the engine needed to be in the right spot (like it is in the paint bitmap). So I moved it there and Voila...what do you know, it works. I've got some shots of it along with the reworked fan blades. Oh yeah, and the not so fine looking paint job is my low texture resolution in the sim, not the paint.
