How To Export Textures Into 3DS?
Hi there, I am new here, and my question is probably very noobish.
Is it possible to export the applied textures into the .3ds format? For example, I have a simple cube here, and textured it with a woody texture so it looks closer to a crate. Whenever I export this as a 3ds format and open it again in any viewer (AC3D included), the texture is missing, the typical white color is displayed on the whole cube. Is it just not possible to export textures into the 3ds model or did I forgot to check this or that? I need the 3ds model for programming my games in Blitz3D (the Direct X-format would also work but it's second choice for me). I haven't found something similar to my problem on these forums, if this has already been answered please redirect me. Thanks in advance. |

Ensure that you texture is in the same folder as your 3D model, and that this folder name does not contain any special characters ... and see if that helps.

Re: How To Export Textures Into 3DS?
So easy! My problem was that I thought that you can include the textures IN the 3ds file, but that's not possible.
Thanks for the info with special characters, it rly caused problems on my computer in several cases. |
