Exclamation Importing Collada 1.4.x files result in a reseted uv-map in tce

some of the model files i have on load would show reseted uv-maps, kept attempting to test and research but nothing, although after further testing i got to realize that the common factor between all these are that they are saved in collada 1.4 format, i can open them correctly on blender/3ds/secondlife but not ac3d though.

I've seen this "artifact" in other types of files I was opening. In some cases they were even .ac files, but somehow the game engine they were imported to (in my case, FlightGear) had mixed up the TCE assignments.

In these cases, I found that I could still "re-align" large areas on the graphic manually, and didn't need to completely re-texture the objects in the file. I would just select the objects in object mode, go to TCE, and find the object mapped to a specific perspective, but I would have to drag the surfaces to another part of the graphic to align the map.

With Collada, though, it might be a completely different story. At worst, though, the TCE makes very quick work of texturing, unlike other 3D programs.

well those files are still opened on blender / 3d max without resetting and yes their uv-map might seem scattered but still nothing overlapping , mind u tce by default overlaps textures and live happy with it so i'm thinking its the uv-map load function that has to be reviewed.

I think I replied to you asking for some texture files (so I can see what's going wrong). If you did send them, please could you resend them - I don't see them in my email.
