Default Ac3d 8.5 out now!

Available now for Windows, Mac and Linux (all require 64 bit OS).

It contains many fixes and a new handy File->Export-Selected dialog.

A lot of work has been done to make the Mac version compatible with Mojave and Catalina OS.

Download NOW

Also available for AC3D 8.5 is a new X-Plane plugin - see http://www.inivis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7032

License upgrades
AC3D will let you know if you need to upgrade your license. Please visit the Upgrade Center to purchase a new discounted license for AC3D: http://www.inivis.com/upgrade.html

Known problems:
All platforms: The File->Object-library menu item is overwritten by "Save <filename>" after a file is saved. A temporary fix is available below (http://www.inivis.com/forum/showpost...6&postcount=11)

Mac: TCE, single view windows may not render correctly on first appearance. They refresh when the mouse enters, and work fine after that. Tools->Hierarchy may also have update problems.

This is really great news, Andy. Looks like I'll be updating my license this weekend.

All running OK on Catalina - might be worth mentioning that the plugin folder in Library/Application Support is called "com.inivis.ac3d"

Hello, Andy,
was about to buy me the upgrade. But here I can only be paid with PayPal which I don't have. Is there another possibility?

To Mac users with older OSs: The original Mac release of AC3D 8.5.55 didn't work on High Sierra so the download has been fixed and named ac3dmac8555a.tgz. (i.e. an 'a' on the end of the name)

If you are using a Mac running OSX Mojave or Catalina, there's no need to download again.

Andy. A few observations from Catalina.
These don't interfere much with using the new version - so not big deal - just different.

When I save a file using the "Save filename.ac" option on the file menu then it pops up the Object Library box. The "Save" menu option however works fine.

The "Duplicate" function from the Hierarchy box for an object now seems much slower - it was instantaneous but now take say 5sec. It works fine but much slower.

When I open the Texture Coordinate Editor then the edit box opens but its blank until I mouse zoom in out - then the texture appears. It works fine - but is different from the old version.

Ta for all yr efforts. Dom

Andy - on this one

The "Duplicate" function from the Hierarchy box for an object now seems much slower - it was instantaneous but now take say 5sec. It works fine but much slower.

Its not the duplication taking time - it's the Hierarchy box not updating immediately to show its been done. So it maybe the window drawing like in the texture window....
