getting jagged, how to fight that?

Hello,

Started from SL-sphere, made my object, looks perfect in AC3D, exported to SecondLife and in the spot i marked with the red line - there is a jagged edge. So far - smoothing didn't help (since it makes my object look too round (no well defined edges) - quiet not the way i want it to be).

First picture - model in AC3D, second - exported to SecondLife.

I cannot find a way to solve this issue, any help would be appreciated.
