I'm personally happy with using POVRay, then again I've been using it for a number of years so I'm happy with its usage.
I don't think the feature should be removed, but would be happy to see a built-in renderer esp for first time users - if it helps to get people started in raytracing and enjoying using AC3D! --g7sta

Here is a thought...
When I first got AC3D it cost about $40. It now costs $70. The appeal of AC3D is it's very resonable cost. If Andy developed an internal rendering program for AC3D, I wonder how much the price would have to jump to cover development costs? It could easily push the program over $100 or even more. If you don't like POV, then try Blender. At last check, it does load .ac files very well. Plus with the ability to animate and render, it is well worth the learning curve. |

lol. there are certian qualities that make blender uniqe. Blender is not all that crappy it just is not very userfriendly. I have worked with blender before. once you get the hang of it blender is pretty easy.
