You could delete the ac3dprefs8.txt file from your home directory. That should fix it.

If you don't want to lose your current settings, edit the file and check this line:

Quote:

ui_gadget_layout "utils 1 surfacetype 1 visibility 1 objectname 0 extrude 0 palette 1 thicken 1"

I suspect palette has gone somehow so you can insert it back. The number indicates open/closed.
