Inserting Vertices
Hi, It's the rookie again. Here's the scenario. I have a Poly Line established by two vertices. It's angled at say... 27.25 degrees. I want to insert a vertex somewhere on the line other than the middle. I need the line to remain straight so inserting a vertex in the middle (default location) and moving it by hand on the line is not an option. Is there a procedure that will let me relocate the vertex without distorting the line? Thanks for the input.

Re: Inserting Vertices
The Move Toward script should give you what you need. It's not as elegant as, say, dragging the vertex, but it works:

Re: Inserting Vertices
Is that plugin Mac compatible? If not, I don't have the ability to write code to adapt it.

Re: Inserting Vertices
I've never personally tried it on a Mac, but since it's written in TCL, it should be 100% compatible. Let me know if you have any problems with it.

Re: Inserting Vertices
Hi Dennis,
I've downloaded the plugin but I'm not sure which folder to install it in. I've tried the plugins folder and the tcl folder inside the AC3D folder. Any thoughts as to where this would go? Once installed, would it show up under tools? Thanks again. Richard |

Re: Inserting Vertices
Hi Dennis,
Never mind the previous questions. I've located the folder and it appears under tools... just in case somebody else is working on a Mac and needs this plugin. Richard |
