I was wondering if anyone knows how to use that replicator funtion. I looked in the manual, but I couldn't see any info on how to use it. I was just trying to relicate several rivets in a circular pattern for a front rim that I'm working on.
Thanks in advance. |

When you press 'go', AC3D will
1) duplicate or extrude the selection 2) move the new copy using the translation values (x, y, z distances) 3) rotate the new copy using the rotation degrees and rotation centre 4) scale the new copy by the scale value specified this will all happen 'copies' times. examples: a) to make a line of 10 cubes one unit apart, make a box, select it, set the replicator copies to 9, set translation to 1,0,0 and press 'go' b) to make a circle of 12 cubes, make a box and set rotation to 0, 30, 0 (30 is 360 degrees divided by 12), set rotate about to origin, (translation should be 0,0,0), press go.
