Any free web services?

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good, free web hosting service. Maybe one with banner adds, but not pop-ups ( cause people hate those ).
I was thinking of creating an AC3D fan site. Maybe have a gallery with tutorials and resource links and what-not. It's just to create a little added flavor to the AC3D community, much like mushroom gravy on top of a char-broiled steak.

Geocities is one of the best free web services. It's ad is not a pop-up but it's not a benner. It is like a banner that follows your browser. It can be closed, though, by the visitors.

The host I use has free accounts, and some pay hosting that is really inexpensive. If you would like, check it out. My site is hosted for $40 US per year. And I get 250 meg storage and 6 gig bandwidth with a bunch of bells and whistles. Most of the free hosting services don't allow any bells and whistles, but my host allows you to migrate up in service if you decide to upgrade. I'm not selling, but I have been very impressed with the service and the customer support.

I thought about doing the same thing but developing tutorials take time and that intimidated me
