Question I have a development question.

I have run into a problem on a project and I do not know where to go to evenfind the answer.
The problem is one of design translation I guess.
I have design a wooden part in 3d using AC3D.

How do I translate the 3d model into something a Carpenter can use to build the part? At this point assuming manual construction methods.

Default Re: I have a development question.

What you need is mechanical drawing CAD software which provide the necessary 2D views of an object with dimensions displayed. I use some old software called QuickCad, but it is no longer available and it does not handle automatic translation from an AC3D model into the necessary CAD views except in a few basic ways.
TurboCad Deluxe 2017 (~$150) might do the trick although I have not played with it.

There is also some free CAD programs out there, but I don't have any experience with them either. They probably won't do any translation for you.
