Default question about making cuts

Is there anyway to make cuts like in 3dsmax with this program or something similar at least? I like modeling that way. Thanks. I did do a search to but I couldn't pinpoint this exact question.

Default Re: question about making cuts

Not exactly if you mean working with edges, but there's three tools that I find let me do what I need in that regard: slice surface, divide loop and knife.

Slice Surface is on the vertex menu, and draws a slice between the selected vertices... it also works if you have multiple surfaces selected and want to slice a bunch at a time.

Divide Loop is a plug-in from supercoldmilk.com. It does exactly as it sounds, and is useful for adding edge loops and splitting other geometry.

Knife is a another plug-in from supercoldmilk. It's a little different than the built-in knife in AC3D, as it allows you to use a slicing plane for a knife instead of a closed object. This is really handy for adding cuts at an angle.
