Default Anything about this book applicable toward AC3D?

I picked up this book a long, long time ago, but never really used it. I'm beginning to learn AC3D, and I'm wondering if there's anything similar about how Max works, or if there's universal fundamentals that I could learn from this book, that could be applied toward using AC3D.

Modeling a Character in 3DS Max

Keep it on the shelf?

Well, a lot is going to be application specific. I own both gameSpace and AC3D and while they both work with 3D primitives, such as cylinders and spheres, the way they go about it is totally different.

If you don't own 3DS Max and can't afford it (it can get well over $300 with student discount), stick with AC3D.
