Been using this for over two years and was always puzzled that there is no import JPG background capability.
A light suddenly went on! Make a flat surface, texture it with a scale drawing. To scale it correctly make some proper length axis lines. Here I show just one side elevation but it's just a duplicate to do plan and elevation. I also made surface type 2S so I can switch left to right and can obviously also hide the plans as I work. |

There is a background image function on the orth window menus, but this is more versatile.
A quick tip for this - Untick File->Settings->General->Show-locked-objects-as-wireframe. Then from the Visibility panal (bottom left of UI) lock the textured blueprints. They will be visible but not selectable, and won't get in the way of your editing. |
