vrml texture does not display

I'm having to export my ac objects to vrml, when I open the vrml file using Cosmoplayer there is no texture displayed just the solid.

I have used both small sized jpg and bmp images with 8 char file name lengths mapped to the object using the Texture Editor. The file name is embedded correctly in the vrml file.

Anybody have any ideas on how to get the texture to display in vrml?
