Question 3D polylines and extrusions

Hi, all!

With AC3D, is it possible to create 3D polylines (e.g polylines that don't sit on one of the three reference planes), for instance by clicking on vertices in the 3D view? I have tried it, with "Select through" unchecked of course, but it doesn't seem to work. The polyline is projected on the "most suitable" reference plane.
I need such polylines as extrusion paths. So, next question: would "Extrude along path" work with a 3D polyline?

Thanks,

Thierry
