When we "spline" a surface, it would be very nice to be able to specify:
a/ How many vertices there should be in the splined surface, b/ If these vertices should be equidistant. Thierry |

You could try changing spline_steps in the prefs file. I can't check it from here but it might alter the number of vertices inserted.

I have checked the prefs file, and I can indeed change the number of vertices inserted by changing the spline_steps parameters. But:
a/ I can see no obvious relation between spline_steps and the number of vertices inserted. b/ No vertices are inserted near the curve's extremities; they seem to be left untouched. c/ There seems to be no way to specify that the vertices should be equidistant along the curves. For such a thing, a dialog box would be desirable. Can we expect such a feature? Regards, Thierry P.S: To make myself clearer (I hope), the attached picture shows what I used to do with my old "VPlot" software. |

There may be other options added in the future.
Try using subdivision on lines - it will have a very similar effect. |
