Default Newbee, out of the closet.

Hey all, just like everyone, just a beginner but thought I should start throwing my two bits into things. Love the program, a real time thief though.

I build car models for an older ...(1999) car racing sim, lots of newer game but I am not really into getting real good at this, just as good as I can be within the confines of a the simple game engine within SCGT.

I have loaded an image of the latest model, probably the first I will release on the gaming community, (cult), that is dedicated to the old game.

Restrictions, original game had models with about 800 polies, I try to keep mine to about 2000. Clear glass and wheels are added after, I use different program build for the game. I build in AC3d, export in 3DS, import to zMod, export to game format and finalize model with something called Modellers garage.

Convoluted yes, but there you go ....

Anyway, time to come out of the closet as it were and show my work, such as it is but I am getting better at it .... (I hope)

Thought, critques, suggestions, tips, all welcome, (my skin is so thick you could tell me to retire and never darken your door and I won't be bothered),

Looking good to me. I havent modeled any cars, but I think this looks great for such low poly model. And welcome out of the closet

I can honestly say, that is far better than anything I started out with. I just wish I was able to make models look that good with as low a poly count. Keep up the good work!

You will notice a theme ....

This is a Porsche Spyder RS ...

The preview is the final in game product.

Still about 2200 polies, in a perfect world it would dbe about 1500 yikes ...

I don't think that this was much impovement over the last ... but practice practice practice ....

Yet another

ACURA --- I feel I improved a bit, certainly was quicker.

Polies still high, but I like the level of detail, little man to come.

Its a Wip, mapping next

Going to learn rendering next ..... well try anyway
